The Süphan Mountain Ski Programme aims to climb Süphan Mountain and enjoy free skiing within a short period. The programme includes the airport, hotel, and Süphan Mountain, and does not feature a cultural tour.   • Mount Süphan Ski and Climb Tour Organization 3 Days Program:

    1st Day:We’ll welcome you in Van and settle into our hotel in Adilcevaz. After settling in, we’ll have a tour of the city and return back to our hotel Here, we’ll make our last preparations for the next day’s summit and ski trip.

    2nd Day: Today we will leave our hotel and climb Mount Süphan. After about 6 or 8 hours, we’ll reach to summit of Mount Süphan at 4,058 meters known as Sandıktepe. Here, we’ll rest for half an hour and ski back to our transfer area after a 2-hour long hike. After resting and eating, we return back to our hotel in Adilcevaz and spend the rest of the day here.

    3rd Day: In the morning, we’ll be transferred to the airport with vehicles and that concludes program.

  • Mount Suphan Climbing Organization Info:

Our Suphan Mountain climbing organisations are arranged in various ways. Typically, on our short tours, we depart from the hotel and transfer to Suphan Mountain by vehicle, where our climb begins. After reaching the summit of Suphan Mountain, we descend to the vehicle transfer point and return to the hotel. Since the programme does not include a cultural tour, we will spend the last night at the hotel resting and will be transferred to Van Airport the following morning after breakfast.   • Attention:
    Please do not leave your group during the climb without informing your guide. Staying together with the group will help you to spend less of your energy and protects us from any possible accident that may happen. You should bring your trekking poles with you and use them during the hike. These poles will not only lower the possibility of an accident, but it’ll also help you lighten your weight so you’ll be less tired. Poles that are adjusted to your heart level will also help you to relax your circulation.

2 Nights Hotel Stay – “Accommodation Hotel, including room and breakfast”

The airpor and Suphan Mountain vehicle transfers are included in the tour.

Our cultural tour covering the Van Cat House and Van Castles will conclude with a return to the hotel after visiting the cathedral on Akdamar Island.

The tour guide service is included in the price, and the number of guides is determined by the number of participants.

In the city:

A Turkish breakfast is served every morning at your hotel.

In the mountains:

Throughout your journey, chefs will prepare delicious meals and provide the necessary nutrients for your climb. Separate menus are prepared to ensure the satisfaction of vegetarian clients. Lunch packs that can be carried all day are provided for midday treks.

Climbing Certificates prepared in the name of the customer by our company are issued for all participants in the climb.

In the city, a climbing celebration dinner will be organized with a delicious local menu selected by our company.

In our camp sites, we offer hot water and hot drinks along with boxed fruit juices for our customers to enjoy after their walks. You can also bring your favourite herbal tea with you.

For climbs to Mount Suphan, bottled drinking water is transported from the city by vehicles, and our vehicles reach the campsite.

Soap and toilet paper are provided at the campsite by our company. You may bring your own personal hygiene items.

Services Not Included in the Price

National and international flight tickets are not included in your package and therefore all costs associated with these tickets must be covered by the participant themselves. For more information on getting to the area, you can go to this link.

Tips are not obligatory on our Mount Suphan Climbing Tours. However, if you wish to show appreciation for the staff’s efforts, you are welcome to give a Tip of at least 5% of the tour cost to our staff in charge. Personal equipment is not included in the tour price. However, we understand that some equipment might create extra baggage and cost for our guests and sometimes you may only want to use the equipment once. Therefore, you can rent equipment such as sleeping bags, boots, and walking sticks from our company. For this, you can visit our rental page. As our rental equipment stock is limited, don’t forget to reserve any equipment you need while making your tour booking. Alcoholic drinks are not included in the tour price, but you are welcome to bring your own alcohol.

Food in the city is not included in the tour price. However, breakfast will be provided at your hotel during your stay in the city. Additionally, we would like to mention that the quality of the local food options available in Van city is high and the prices are at reasonable levels.

Your personal expenses are not included in the tour price.

Climbs to Mount Suphan do not require mandatory insurance. Our company meticulously fulfils its legal obligations. In this context, we include tour cancellation and health insurance in the tours we offer. The type of insurance that many companies in the market leave ambiguous with the phrase “insurance included” is precisely this insurance. However, it should be noted that this insurance is not a climbing insurance. Beyond the health and tour cancellation insurance included in our tours, obtaining a climbing insurance is the responsibility of our customers. You can obtain high altitude climbing insurance, also known as extreme sports insurance, by contacting local insurance agents. Mount Suphan Climb Dates & Prices


1st Day: Welcoming Day

Today, we’ll welcome you in Van Airport and transfer you to the hotel in Adilcevaz with our vehicles. After settling into our hotel, we’ll take short tour in the city center and spend the night in our hotel resting.

2nd Day: Mount Süphan “Summit and Skiing Day”

Today, we’ll try to reach the summit from the camp area at 2600 meters while occasionally crossing areas with the inclination of 15 degrees. We’ll start our hike with the help of our headlights. Hike usually begins between 03:00 and 04:00. After about 6 or 8 hours, we’ll reach to summit of Mount Süphan at 4,058 meters known as Sandıktepe. It is possible to get a bird’s eye view of Lake Van and its surrounding areas from here. If we also have clear weather conditions, it’s possible to get a clear view of Mount Ararat. Volcanic vent gives a deep impression of the mountain’s volcanic character. And this vent is one of the hardest parts of the climb.

After resting at the summit for half an hour and making last checks on our skiing equipment, we’ll start our descent to Kışkıllı transfer area and return back to our hotel in Adilcevaz spending the rest of day resting.

3rd Day: “Farewell Day”

After a nice breakfast in Van, we’ll get you to the airport with our vehicles and this special mountain ski program will be completed at the airport with great memories.

During the tour, to avoid any issues and ensure your safety, it’s necessary for us to conduct your tour in compliance with legal procedures. This way, we won’t have any issues with local government and the gendarmerie. Furthermore, all travel agencies operating in Turkey are obligated to insure their customers. The reservation process includes the following steps:

  1. Select the tour that suits you and send us the necessary information for the reservation.
  2. We will send you a document with your tour details and our account information for you to confirm your reservation.
  3. Provided there are no errors in the information on the document, you will send a prepayment to our account. Once your payment reaches our account, we will send you a “Payment Received” document to confirm your tour.
  4. As your tour date approaches, we will prepare your Travel Insurance and send you the documents.

Cancellation and Refund

For our tours, a modest prepayment is required to secure climbing permits and initiate insurance processes. Please note that this fee is non-refundable in the event of tour cancellation. Full tour payment will be made in cash to our team on the day the tour starts, guaranteeing an experience. This allows you to make tour cancellations and changes without taking any risk.
